High build zinc phosphate primer/coating, based on modified alkyd resin. Anti corrosive properties. Lead and chromate free. Fast drying. Fast handling. Recoatable with one and two coatings. Can be applied at low temperatures down to 0C (provided the surface is at least 3C above the dew point), although drying time is increased. Normally applied by spray, but can be applied by roller or brush. BASIC DATA AT 20C. Density:approx. 1.39 g/cm3. Solids content by volume:approx. 50%. Recommended dry film thickness:75 microns. Theoretical spreading rate:6.7m2/ Lt. Drying time (dust free):15 - 30 mins. Min. interval before overcoating:6 hrs. Max. interval before overcoating:no limitations. Flash point (DIN53213):24C. RECOMMENDED SUBSTRATE CONDITIONS. Blast cleaned to ISO Sa 2 or mechanically cleaned to ISO St 3 steel surface. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE. AIRLESS SPRAY. Recommended thinner:21-06 (flash point 25C). Volume of thinner:0 - 5%. Nozzle orifice:approx. 0.46 - 0.53 mm (0.017 - 0.021"). Nozzle pressure:1700 - 2100 p.s.i. AIRSPRAY. Recommended thinner:21-06. Volume of thinner:10 - 15%. Nozzle orifice:1.5 - 3.0 mm. Nozzle pressure:40 - 60 p.s.i. ROLLER / BRUSH. To achieve the recommended dry film thickness of 75 microns, the coating should be carefully applied at a wet film thickness of 150 microns & not rolled or brushed out excessively.
