Product Description This primer has been specially developed for application on cold-rolled, pickled or slightly rusted steel. It is intended as the first coat in shop coating applications and provides the required basic protection following metal fabrication and assembly operations. Available in Red Oxide or Grey.
Features QUICK DRYING INDUSTRIAL ZINC PHOSPHATE PRIMER
General purpose anti-corrosive metal primer, giving a high build matt finish. Can be re-coated with most types of finish. Zinc Phosphate pigmentation offers good resistance to salt spray, humidity etc.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Clean and degrease the metal substrate. Rust, burrs and oily residues should be removed completely. Sharp edges at welded seams should be ground down. Weld splatter, dust, scale etc., should be removed. The resultant surface should be clean, dry and free from lamination and dust.
MIXING AND THINNING
Mix thoroughly. Stir until material is completely homogeneous. For thinning use ParkerFast 5 Litre Thinner (Stock No. 199-70-06) or xylene. For brush and roller application thin only if necessary up to
10% by volume. For air atomized spray use between 10 and 20vol.% thinner; for airless application only dilute sparingly.
