Building Safety
Act 2022
With the introduction of the Building Safety Act 2022, site testing will become less frequently required. Design and Specification of anchors will serve as proof of suitability in line with the Golden Thread principle. Additionally, installers and supervisors must demonstrate their competence (fischer Toolbox Trainings) before carrying out anchor installations and must complete the installation form as per CFA Guidance Note (GN). Site testing will only be required in cases where the base material is unknown or when safety concerns arise during installSation.
Normally we work to a 1-week lead time, based on timely provision of information from site. As soon as we have the required information, we can schedule the test for the following week. (Subject to change in busy periods)
Unnecessary site tests, as per BS 8539, are chargeable. We provide comprehensive technical support free of charge, ensuring all necessary documentation is available to justify when site testing is unnecessary. This helps avoid unnecessary expenses while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
